The Group started the Automotive business in the early 1940s with several brands, some of which no longer exist, including Desoto, Packard, Fargo, Monteverdi, Wolseley and MG. In 1948, the Automotive Group was the first to introduce Chrysler vehicles in the Kuwaiti market and in 1972, history repeated itself when the company introduced Mitsubishi to the Kuwaiti market as well as the Middle East.Mitsubishi to the Kuwaiti market as well as the Middle East. Today, with a 2,500+ strong workforce, the Automotive Group enjoys a presence in Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt and the UAE, operating numerous divisions and facilities; including new and used car showrooms, spare parts outlets, and service centers.
